open paper trade combo at a particular price

hello,

how can i open a paper trade at a particular price? i just did a paper trade debit spread and it seems there is no DOM which i can use to set the debit price. thanks

if you created the trades using the options chain, then the simplest solution is to place the trades in paper trading and after that go to the Trades section and edit their Filled Price value. Edit starts with a double click.
If you already have the legs in the strategy, you can right click on a leg, and from the menu select Paper Trading -> Buy / Sell. This solution opens a window where you have the Bid and Ask prices, a field for the Quantity, a field for selecting the type of order, and one for entering the trade price (unless you select "Market" for the order type).

thanks.. this works well for single contracts but not sure how it will work with spreads eg i want to get a spread debit to 3.6 for example. having to work each strike to get a total debit of 3.6 would be a bit awkward. any ideas?

in IB TWS, when you fill a combo order, you can see also the detailed filled prices for each of the legs of the combo. Same applies to open positions in IB TWS Portfolio.
